Yogini Gandhi

Yogini has been bestowed with the "Singar Mani" title and is the recipient of the "Outstanding Young Person" award. She is empanelled with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (I.C.C.R), New Delhi and is also a graded Television Artiste. Yogini also serves as a faculty member at the Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University. Besides enthralling conniosseurs and lay audiences in India, Yogini has extensively toured Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland and England oresenting dance concerts of both Kathak and Odissi. To create an awareness amongst masses, she has also successfully conducted lecture-demonstrations for varied academic and social institutions. To propogate and nurture Indian music and dance in the right perspective, Yogini has established "KALANIDHI" - An institute for the Promotion of Indian Art and Culture. A multifaceted performing artiste, Yogini has also delved into the field of theatre and music. She has had the previlige of being involved with a Swedish Theatre Project wherein she portrayed th central character of a strong Indian woman. Even on the dance scene she has broadened her horizon by interacting with other established dancers. Yogini has presented several major choreographical ventures with them.
