Shambhavi Vaze

She is an empanelled dancer of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi. She is also a member of the International Dance Council of UNESCO. She is a Mumbai Doordarshan approved artiste. She has been fortunate to perform in front of great artists like Nritya Samrat Pt.Gopi Krishnaji, Pt.Birju Maharajji, Smt.Rohini Bhate, Sitara Devi, Shri.Sunil Kothari, Smt.Saswati Sen, Pt.Samta Prasad ji, Pt.Kishan Maharajji, etc. She is the first Kathak dancer to have launched a commercial DVD of her Kathak repertoire with solo as well as group choreographies. This DVD has been produced and marketed by Neelam AV, Philadelphia, USA. (www.neelam.com) She is a faculty and Guru in the Center for Performing Arts of University of Pune. She runs a Branch of Maneesha Nrityalaya Kathak Dance Institute for the past 14 years, where she is adroitly training the young generation and grooming them to become the artists of tomorrow. Her choreographic works presented in various stage shows and on the television have brought her a unique recognition as a choreographer.
