I perceive a painting in terms of a flower with it's own refreshing radiance. Flower represents the total picture of harmony. It is a harmony between it's easily identifiable petal forms, evocative lines silhouetting these petal forms and their softness that implies a sense of texture. It is a harmony between vivid and subtle color nuance you cannot miss in a flower. It is a harmony between the positive space occupied by the shape of a flower and the corresponding negative space around it. It is a harmony between all these characteristics of the flower and it's refreshing fragrance that elevates us emotionally as well as spiritually.

A Painting, like a flower, ought to be a perfect picture of harmony. No matter how realistic a work of an art is, if it is devoid of the abstract content, it stands reduced to the status of an artificial flower, similarly a pure abstract work of art with no identifiable forms from nature and life stands reduced to the status of synthetic perfume.
