
Nadanam
This
section deals with the topics that are common to any Indian classical
Dance. Since Bharatã's Nãtya Shãstra has been mother
treaty for all dance and music, there are some fundamentals which are
found in all dance forms. Some of these topics are :
Natya, Nritya & Nritta These are the three aspects of Indian Dance
from the technical point of view. Nayaka-Nayika Nãyikã
(the heroine) is the main character that is portrayed by the Indian
dancer. Various shades love of hers towards the Lord ( Nãyaka)
classify her into different Nãyikãs and so are the various
Nãyakas. Abhinaya The Dancer's medium of language is her body.
This section describes how the Dancer conveys the meaning of the song
to the spectator. Rasa-Bhava The main purpose of Indian Art is to evoke
Rasa, that is to give Aesthetic Pleasure. This section deals with what
is Rasa and Bhãva.
Dashavatar Vishnu , the Creator of the Universe has taken birth on Earth
each time , when there has been moral degradation and evil threatens.

- Desi This section explains the two categories of one of the Classifications
into which the Indian Dance has been classified.
Tãndava-Lãsya Depending on the type of movement, dance
is classified as Tãndava or Lãsya. Nãtya Shãstra

Sage Bharata.
